LENDING LIBRARY

The Bahá'í Service for the Blind maintains a lending library of its Braille and cassette tape books. Requests for Braille books should be limited to no more than 2 books at a time and for books on tape no more than 3 books at a time. You may e-mail your requests to us at  BahaiService@aol.com    Please put "library request" in your subject line. Be sure to include your name, address and phone number.

Rules of the Library

-- There is no charge for borrowing books. However, borrowers are responsible for the cost of replacing lost or damaged books.

 --
Materials from the Lending Library are available to individuals residing in the United States, its territories and Canada.

-- All items in the Braille and Tape catalogs are available from the Lending Library. (Sorry, but we don't maintain a library of Large Print at this time.)

--  Books borrowed by one reader must not be passed on directly to another reader, but rather returned to the Library and then requested by the second reader.

--  Because of the limited number of books in our Library, it is necessary to limit the time any book may be kept by the reader to five months. Since there is sometimes a waiting list for a book, we urge readers to return books sooner, if possible.

-- When a book is requested  we will send all Braille volumes of that book at one time. Note: If you have a storage problem and do not want all volumes of a book  to come to you at one time, please remember to tell us this when placing your order!

We suggest that you give us a 1st and 2nd choice when you place your order so that if the your 1st choice is out on loan, we can send you the 2nd choice.
